After a final morning walk through Delft, we hopped a quick train to Rotterdam for a leisurely day before boarding our first Holland America ship, the Rotterdam. Hit the sites with the famous cube houses.

St Lawrence church that largely survived the WWII bombings.

And of course there is Markethal. A unique food hall and the structure around it is all apartments. Very cool.

We found our new favorite food item…cones of dried sausage samples.

The old Harbour.

And after some shopping and relaxing, a seafood dinner at Langoest. Mixed sashimi, followed by gratineed oysters and Spanish squids, then sea bream with a lobster sauce and miso black cod.

After that delicious meal, we walked back to our hotel on a route to see the World War II sculpture: The Destroyed City.
