A first for us
We had dinner at Oak, a vegetarian tapas restaurant. Happily, the food was delicious. Each plate was a very carefully crafted dish and all were just so very tasty but the standouts above all were the beet and walnut pate and the nettle ricotta agnolotti with asparagus. Such a nice…

Tuscan countryside
Our day out of Florence… We took an all day tour of the Chianti region with visits to three wineries in the region. This tour traversed some rough ground therefore the tour was in this rather silly vehicle. I will admit it was a hoot. Our first Chianti winery with…

Mallorca
Our first time spending the day at any of the Balearic Islands. Full day of exploration so lots of pictures. The blend of Spanish and Moorish styles and influences gave us a strong feeling of Seville. In Palma we toured the grounds of the Royal Palace of La Almudaina. And…

Cartagena, Spain
The weather cooperated for a nice sail last night and into port this morning. Our tour started with the Roman theater ruins. And then onto a tapas tour with five stops all with a glass of wine each. Very enjoyable. You just have to love Spain, tapas & wine!

Gibraltar
Made it to port after missing one stop in Northern Spain due to a violent storm off the coast. More than a bit bumpy. We spent the morning walking through town. And made our way to the Botanical Gardens. Well done tropical gardens. Inside the garden complex is an animal…
