East End Food Tour

Food and history in the East End through Spitalfields, Shoreditch, White Chapel etc. Think Dickens meets Jack the Ripper.

Started with a traditional English bacon sandwich

A bread and butter pudding…believe it or not light and creamy, not too sweet.

An Irish cheese interlude…

Fish and chips of course with mushy peas. That is the actual Poppie in the doorway. Yummy.

Then a curry sampling, mild, spicy and hot. Not a huge fan of this food but must admit it was tasty.

Salt beef (a version of corned beef) bagel sandwich…oh yeah, this was delicious.

And finally a proper cup of tea with a salted caramel dark chocolate tart. All in all a lovely walking food tour with a lot of sights, tastes and history.
