Had a full day private tour with Alessandro which was really quite perfect.  First off took us to the castle above Verona for the views.

We then drove through the valley to a very small village, San Giorgio di Valpolicella for views over the wine valley.

Next up was Torri del Benaco on the eastern show of the lake near the north end.

Then to the southern shore of Peschiera on the lake.  After a walk around for stop on the inlet for some pizza and wine.

And last up a stop for at Corte Borghetti Winery.  A five generation owned private wine estate with a tour and tasting by the current generation, Barbara.  Beautiful property complete with her home, winery, event space, and apartments for rent.  Learned all about Amarone wine.  Tasted her sparking wine, all three levels of valpolicella red and amarone with local salumi and cheese.

Whew. What a magnificent day!
