Our last port of call on this adventure was Copenhagen. We spent a few days here a number of years ago prior to leaving on our first transatlantic cruise. Between that and it being the end of a busy trip, we kept a low profile today.
Most large ships dock at Oceankaj which has four berths and is about 7km from the city center requiring a cab or bus/metro. We were pleasantly surprised to dock at Langelinie which is for smaller ships and only 3km to the city center. You can see the dome of the Marble Church from the ship and the Little Mermaid is right down the path past the Kastellet.

Despite the overcast skies, we set out on foot to explore the area of Rosenborg Castle and its surrounds. An area not explored on our prior trip to Copenhagen. Just as we arrived at the Castle, the sun appeared.

Walking through the streets of Copenhagen is always filled with color.

On our way back we walked through the park surrounding Kastellet, the old fortress.

All in all a pleasant return to Copenhagen.
