Some of our favorite travel days have had nothing to do with a landmark and everything to do with a guide walking us stop to stop through a city’s food scene. This is where you’ll find those days: fermented shark and lamb hot dogs in Reykjavík, tortellini-making in Bologna’s Quadrilatero, a street food crawl through Palermo’s Capo Market, an all-morning Gourmet Food Tour through Seattle, dim sum to gelato in Vancouver, and plenty more in between. Not every tour has been a home run — we say so when the pacing was odd or the history got left out — but the misses are rare.
