Cork, Ireland

A brisk morning turned lovely quickly.  We docked in the center of Cobh which is very convenient if exploring on your own. You can simply walk into town or take the 24 minute train to Cork across the street from the dock. The train is what we elected. 6.30 euro round trip per person. Simple and quick. Runs every 30 minutes and they have staff there to assist people with tickets and directions. Wondered through the English Market then onto St. Finn Barr’s Cathedral and Elizabeth Fort.  Did some shopping, lunch at Quilan’s for fresh crab rolls and had to get a scoop of the brown bread ice cream and a scoop of gin ice cream at Murphy’s.  So good.
